DOHERTYWHITE CO-PRESENTS WORKSHOP FOR IRISH MEDICAL DEVICES ASSOCIATION

Galway, 04 Mar 2010

Local and international Medical Devices firms will learn how to boost their revenue using digital marketing in a one-day seminar being held in Galway this month. Hosted by the Irish Medical Devices Association, the seminar will be delivered by Michael White, founder of DohertyWhite, the Digital Marketing and PR firm, and Simon Rogals, Founding Partner at Bayberry, a strategic consulting firm dedicated to delivering growth to high technology firms. The all-day event will take place on Thursday 11th March at 10.00am, at the Harbour Hotel, New Dock Street, Galway.

Digital Marketing has emerged as a key weapon for business-to-business (B2B) technology firms in their drive to build demand and awareness. Michael will explain how technology companies can drive rapid increases in their sales lead generation and revenue. During the seminar he will show how using corporate web-sites, Google pay-per-click ads, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and email marketing in an integrated manner can successfully generate quality leads and deliver sales growth. The workshop will outline processes you can use to prioritise and process sales leads more effectively in order to convert more of them to customers and increase revenue. Michael will also describe some innovative recent uses of online PR and social media such as Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook and discuss their application for business-to-business technology companies, particularly those working in the Medical Devices sector. Finally, the workshop will cover techniques marketing teams can use to estimate the budget they should allocate to online promotion, to schedule marketing activities and to monitor their progress against plan.

"There was huge interest from our members in a previous seminar on Digital Marketing in December", said Sinead Keogh, Senior Executive at the Irish Medical Devices Association. "The digital revolution is transforming how technology companies identify new customers and generate sales. A significant number of Med Tech companies in Ireland are currently operating in the B2B space. These companies have recognised the potential to optimise engagement with their customers through digital marketing."
